Challenge:  Emotional intelligence can feel abstract when it is explained only through definitions or theory. A more engaging, practical approach was needed to help viewers recognize these concepts in situations they might encounter at work.

Solution: I created an animated video that breaks emotional intelligence into five core components and connects each one to recognizable workplace situations. Visual examples, concise explanations, and consistent pacing help make the concepts easier to understand and apply.

Result: The finished video provides an approachable introduction to emotional intelligence and helps viewers connect each concept to everyday workplace communication and interactions.

Design Decisions & Rationale: 

I made several design decisions to keep the video clear, engaging, and easy to follow:

• Organized the content around five core components of emotional intelligence

• Used workplace scenarios to make abstract concepts more concrete and relatable

• Paired concise narration with visual examples to reinforce key ideas

• Kept scenes and pacing focused so viewers could easily follow each concept

• Used a consistent visual style throughout the video to create a cohesive viewing experience
